You've said "windy" ?

Today, gales and heavy downpours hit parts of UK. Fortunately, there has been no rain in Cranfield but a lot of wind (really of lot). For people used to read METAR messages, here is the one of Cranfield where there were gusts up to nearly 100 km/h.

The pressure is also very low and the isobaric lines were very close which causes this strong wind.

The funny part of this is that a friend of mine tried to make his kite fly today. He (my friend, not the kite) could jump over several meters very easily. But the ropes broke several times and he had to give up...

A thought for this fir tree which obviously does not like much wind:

First of all:

Happy New Year 2007 to all my readers !!

Well, I don't really think I have many readers but anyway...
I haven't posted for a long time. I will try to change this and post at least one message a week. No, that's not one of my new year's resolution even if it seems so.

So, well, ..... ..... ..... see you in a short while for a new message ;-)

Just below, the fireworks that took place at the London Eye for New Year's Eve. Seems pretty nice...
